When the news today reports about the dead in Gaza, in Ukraine, or in Africa, we are hardly shocked anymore. We no longer ask How? What? Where? Who? Have we already become numb to the wars of this world? I´ll write 1000 War Songs.

The work 3 War Songs is based on poems by Suji Kwock-Kim and reflects on the post-war situation in Korea. It reveals how hunger was – and still is – used as a simple yet cruel weapon against civilians.
