New Music at the Marketplace II

In the second concert of Market- Music my composition “Herbst Frau” for soprano and cello will be performed. There are four songs. Three beautiful poems are by Ulrike Prasse and one tanka by Meiko Matsudaíra. I took the title “Autumn Woman” from this tanka. Ms. Matsudaíra has written very soberly about a hopelessness in the life. It is wonderful and sad at the same time.

In the night of the cold late autumn
I saw my face in the mirror
