Tell me where the flowers are!

In the middle of winter, I’m looking for the blue morning glory – Asagao. In Japan, it’s a summer flower with delicate petals and bright colors. Its large bloom only lasts a short time: it opens for a single morning.

When I cannot find the Asagao in Berlin, I create it myself – with sounds. This is how, on a cold winter’s day in my apartment, without heating, the song “Liebe Prachtwinde” (My Dear Morning Glory) was born, based on the poem by Kaga-no-Chiyo.
